Water. It’s the most basic element. The human body is made up of at least 60 percent water—the heart and brain is at least 73 percent water, lungs at least 83 percent. Needless to say, water is important to us, and it’s something you should be consistently drinking. But sometimes plain tap water just tastes…gross.
Luckily Blind & Sons offers reverse osmosis drinking water systems to filter out the impurities from your drinking water, leaving you with fresh, taste free drinking water.
What is reverse osmosis?
Reverse osmosis is a process in which dissolved inorganic solids (i.e., salts) are removed from a solution (i.e., water). For our purpose, this occurs when tap water goes through a semi-permeable membrane the thickness of cellophane. The solids, bacteria, impurities, etc., are flushed down the drain.
The water is pressured through the filter by using a pump. In extreme cases, reverse osmosis has been used to change seawater or brackish water to drinking water.
Should I get a reverse osmosis system?
If you’re worried about what’s in your water, or you’re tired of spending the extra money on bottled water to hydrate your family, our reverse osmosis systems are perfect for you and your family. The initial cost is minimized when you think of how much you’ll be saving when it comes to purchasing bottled water or other water filtration systems over and over again.
Drinking water that is passed through reverse osmosis is free of minerals and bacteria that your family does not need to ingest.
Installation of a reverse osmosis drinking system is easy when you call Blind & Sons. The system is typically installed under the kitchen sink in your cabinet, alongside your garbage disposal and out of the way for everyday living. Filters/membranes are replaced yearly, at the most, and can be done during annual maintenance checks by your Blind & Sons technician.
