Responded to sewage backup in basement. Upon arrival, found multiple drainage points affected including three basement floor drains and one exterior lawn drain. Conducted diagnostic inspection of the drainage system to identify source of backup.

Visual inspection revealed severely corroded cast iron drain stack with extensive rust deterioration throughout the pipe interior and exterior surfaces. The vertical stack showed advanced corrosion with significant buildup of rust deposits and mineral scaling along interior walls, indicating long-term moisture exposure and structural compromise of the piping material. Concrete floor surrounding the drain exhibited staining consistent with chronic sewage seepage.

Additional inspection of basement drainage system revealed water damage and rust staining on concrete block walls near plumbing configuration, suggesting historical moisture intrusion issues. PVC drainage and venting system observed in upper wall area appeared to be later additions to
